1967 Rolex Zephyr 1008 Tropical Gilt Cross Hair Dial Steel Gold Automatic Wristwatch. Truly once of the most incredible tropical dials we've come across with its sunburst tone. A highly dynamic dial, reminiscent of the Fender Stratocasters of the era. Caseback is dated to 1967. Steel Oyster case and Astral fluted gold bezel are great. Has remained full bodied and thick. Some expected wear in keeping with age and usage. Some plots on the dial are partial/ smudged. 19mm 7835 Oyster bracelet with 357 Ends is dated to 1972, fits, 7.5" wrist size. Caliber 1570 automatic movement is running and keeping time, has been freshly serviced. This is one of only a few gilt Zephyrs that we've seen turn into an tropical tone.
